Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- LL.B. (Degree in Law) from a recognized university
- Mandatory knowledge of Marathi (read, write, speak, translate Marathi ↔ English)
Experience Requirement (as on 30.01.2026)
Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience, fulfilling any one of the following:
- Practising Advocate in the Bombay High Court or subordinate courts, or
- Serving Judicial Officer in Maharashtra Judicial Service, or
- Working/Worked as Public Prosecutor or Government Advocate
📌 Experience as Law Clerk, Judicial Officer, Public Prosecutor, or Government Advocate is counted as per notification rules.
Age Limit (as on 30 January 2026)

- 45 years – General category
- 48 years – PwD / Backward Communities

Salary & Benefits
- Pay Scale: ₹1,44,840 – ₹1,94,660 per month

Selection Process
The selection will be conducted in three stages:
Stage 1: Preliminary Written Examination (If Conducted)
- Objective-type (Computer Based)
- For shortlisting only (marks not counted in final merit)
- Candidates shortlisted in 1:10 ratio
Stage 2: Main Written Examination
- 2 Papers, 100 marks each (Total 200 marks)
- Duration: 3 hours per paper
- Medium: English
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General: 50% per paper
- PwD / Backward Categories: 45% per paper
Stage 3: Viva-Voce (Interview)
- 50 Marks
- Minimum qualifying:
- General: 40%
- PwD: 35%
Final Merit List
- Based on Main Exam (200) + Interview (50)
- Total Marks: 250
- Wait List: Up to 10% of vacancies (valid for 1 year)
